I've been working with Japanese label Southern Field Industries behind the scenes for quite a while. Getting to know Manabu and his wife Keiko has been a great experience, not only because they've helped me learn a lot about Japanese culture but also some of the reasons they decided to start their own brand. I was excited to be able to offer SFI in the shop, so I wanted to document the un-boxing of the first shipment to land on Canadian soil. In the coming weeks there will be more on it's way but in the meantime, I think you'll find their products to be rather special. You'll also be able to meet Manabu & Keiko this year at Gentlemen's Reserve in May.
