Apolis Overdyed Spring Ties

The new releases from Apolis for their Spring 2012 collection has to be one of my most liked to date, especially with this new batch of colour. In past seasons they've used a more monotone palette with grey, white, indigo, blue and navy in their accoutrements, with their signature red cross stitched somewhere onto the garment. It's safe to say I'm a fan of the mustard and persimmon in the mix. Each tie was handcrafted and dyed in Los Angeles from organic overdye of Madder (Persimmon), Osage Tree (Mustard) and Indigo. Since their uniform typically suggests you wear items from the line in a fairly subdued way, it's excellent to see bits of colour to offset a white or grey oxford, some chino's, a blazer and a trusty pair of brown boots.
