Fall Kit Nº4 – Photographers Kit
Weather wise, Autumn has made its full debut here in the Netherlands. Although the last few days were nothing but heavy rain alternated with drizzle, the weather forecast for this upcoming weekend is looking very promising. For me, the final days of this week will be filled with meeting friends, a birthday or two and the opportunity to head out towards the Dutch coast and take some photographs. The chances that I'll be wearing a jacket are slim, so I'm packing light.
Columbiaknit Sweatshirt
This sweatshirt has made it's way in as my favorite garment, mainly because of the fact that it's perfectly combinable with an oxford shirt or a plain white t-shirt. It's also lightweight so I can easily carry it around in my backpack just in case it's needed later during the evening when the temperature drops.
The Green Camo by Hamilton 1883
I have a huge soft spot for camo prints, so it was more then obvious for me to include this shirt in my wardrobe. Also, being a huge fan of Hamilton 1883, I didn't question this purchase. I've worn this shirt on multiple occasions over the last few monhts and it's still in near mint condition.
Stretch Twill Slim Slack Lite by American Apparel
Simply put - my lucky pants. I bought these one size up to avoid the skinny look. I'm definitely not afraid of getting these pants muddy or smudgy when finding myself in the woods or near the coastline. They're already worn out and have few holes due to heavy and intense, daily wear.
Vans California Sk8 Hi Reissue
For me it's essential to have some Sk8 Hi's or Authentics around just in case I want to ride on 4 wheels and get nostalgic. This calfskin leather is a gingerbread colorway and is perfect for fall. These shoes are also equipped with an Ortholite insole, making it a pleasure to walk in every single step.
Tanner Goods Lanyard
I always used to forget or lose my keys in the most inconvenient of places. The combined aesthetic and responsible solution is this sturdy and high quality lanyard from Tanner Goods. I haven't forgotten my keys from the moment it was purchased– not counting that one time in Paris...
Field Notes & Kaweco Sport Fountain Pen
Ideas tend to pop up at that one moment you're not behind a computer. These Field Notes combined with my Kaweco Sportfountain pen make a great companion when traveling by train or bus.
Nikon FE2 + 50mm Nikkor F/1.8 lens
Even though I prefer the convenience of a digital SLR there is something magical about shooting and developing 35mm film. No doubt, this is my favorite camera. Why? Because it's age exceeds my own.
