Fog Linen
Fog Linen is a Japanese based business started by Yumiko Sekine in 1993 importing used books and housewares from Europe and America to Japan. Eventually, during her product search, Sekine realized she couldn't afford the day to day linens she'd loved during her childhood. On a visit to Lithuania she realized a number of the older linen producers had gone out of business and were looking for ways to re-enter the market. Sekine pounced on this opportunity and has begun to produce her own linens in Lithuania, now producing large lines of linen products for the home as well as clothing. I recently stumbled onto Sekine's placemats, the navy and white striped options would look great on my wood table. It's a difficult online shop to browse through without wanting to hit the buy button over and over.
