Recap: MAN Show Autumn & Winter 2013

Last week I was in NYC working with MAN Show at Industria Studios in the West Village. I'm quite honored and very happy that my job is being able to work with various menswear brands, shops from all around the globe and a fantastic show like MAN that aligns with my own vision and passion within this ever-expanding industry.

Now in their third season, the show creates the perfect atmosphere and allows a comfortable and approachable setting for buyers, shops and press alike. Partnering with the long-established French brand Opinel for a special collaboration, hosting a flyknit night run with Nike in Paris, as well as presenting an opening for photographer Peter Sutherland in New York– there are many facets that create a unique experience for attendees. It also doesn't hurt that the show saw a wide mix of both people and press roll through, from GQ to illustrator Richard Haines and some of best shops in the North American market like Unionmade and Need Supply as well as shops from Japan.

I was most inspired for the Autumn & Winter 2013 season by a few Parisian brands I had a chance to get to know a little better, like Bérangére Claire, Etudes and Homecore. Also worth checking out is Antwerp based Howlin' by brothers Jan and Patrick Olyslager, Sweden's Our Legacy and of course London's Uniform Wares. Japan's Southern Field Industries released a few exceptional colours for Autumn & Winter 2013 and Prospector Co.'s all natural shaving and skin care line was equally as impressive. These are just a few of my instagram shots from the three days.
