Red Wing 1907 – Copper Rough & Tough
Red Wing Amsterdam is now stocking this 1907 model in copper rough & tough leather. I love this leather, the way it looks right out of the box and how it continues to wear in over the years. The 1907 Model from Red Wing is a little different from it's typical RW counterparts. It's constructed with a Norweigan Welt, which is similar to the Goodyear Welt but this version has the welt stitched to the sole and the upper– not just the sole. Essentially, it's a dual welt construction. RW also used a dark brown midsole on this 6" boot versus their traditional white midsole with white traction sole for this series of boots. These pictures do a great job at showing the true nature of this leather. As I wear boots year round both from Viberg and Red Wing, these are an excellent pick up if you're on the fence.
