Saturday Inspiration - Dieter Rams
By far my favorite designer of all time, Dieter Rams has produced so many timeless products in his time with Braun and Vitsoe. While many of his products have been shown countless times around the internet, one piece that often flies under the radar is this sketch, one which Rams used as a first sketch of his visualization of a Braun showroom. Produced in 1955, Rams was chosen to design the Braun showrooms based on his use of this sketch in a Braun interview. It's really neat to see the early stages of his ideas for the Vitsoe 606 shelving system in the background of the sketch, as well as his use of a little bit of the 'de stijl' colors red, yellow and blue in block shapes in the space and his interpretations of a few different Knoll furniture pieces.

Great piece, Connor. I'm also a big Rams fan.
