Summer Kit Nº2 - Lakeside Attire

Today, July 1st, is a National holiday for us known as Canada Day. On Monday for our friends to the south, it's their 4th of July holiday.This weekend is the first that I've had somewhat free, in almost a year. I'll be sticking pretty close to home for the most part, though I do intend to head over to the local Farmer's Market for some fresh produce, maybe hit one of the local lakes to take in the sun. In any event, enjoy your holiday weekend out there.

The inaugural issue from our friends at Acquired Taste is really special. Every decision regarding every component within this issue has been carefully thought out and arranged; its one of my new favorites and is perfect for summer time reading. For now, you can pick it up from their online boutique but it will be available in our online shop soon.

Cargo Bag
I am head over heels for the Cargo Bag Series from WM J Mills. I spent this last weekend alongside Tom Beatty at Gentlemen's Reserve, talking about bags, life and the way things were. It was great to listen to his many stories, some about the Mills Family. We have some great things coming to our shop soon, to say the least. In the meantime if you get the chance, get some face time with this bag. It carries the perfect amount and is extremely versatile. You could use it to haul your gear on a short trip, then use it as the perfect size tote around town, as the zipper closure actually folds down inside the bag.

Striped Chambray Trunks
Apolis has created a special line of trunks with Legendary brand Katin. These stripe chambray trunks look comfortable as hell, and will come in handy if you need to jump into the lake from a tree swing, or maybe hit the ocean to catch a wave.

RE Aviators
These Aviators are from Randolph Engineering, available at Steven Alan. I love the gold/tan classic colourway.

Old Time Slingshot
Hickorees Hard Goods is definitely one of the best out there, offering bits and pieces of youthful days alongside great clothing and bags. This slingshot is not exactly necessary with this kit, but it certainly is a piece I have on my bookshelf. Sometimes you gotta break out the old fashion vibe on those warm Summer days.

Goji Red T-Shirt
We've talked about Jungmaven's shirting before. A breezy cotton/hemp blend knitted in the USA. I enjoy the colour in this kit.
