The Windmill Club SS 11
Kevin Burrows released his SS 11 collection yesterday for The Windmill Club. As you can see from the imagery, it represents exactly what you would expect from this young label. Simple and easy to wear, with a backing of elevated details, like the fact that all of his ties are self tipped. I've know I've said it before, but these are some of the only silk ties I would wear. Beautiful deadstock silks, interesting patterns, handmade in NYC with a traditional three inches at the widest point. Speaking of which, I was talking to Kevin about his choice to make all of his ties three inches wide.
"The 3" width is important to me because I love clothing that just works. A silk repp tie at 3" is always on point, plain and simple. With menswear, the stuff I enjoy the most are the things that you can grab as you're running out the door without thinking about them and know that you will look great."
Details:
• Crafted of 100% dead stock silk
• 3" across at the widest point and self tipped
• Handmade in New York City
• Extremely limited numbers available in each
Head over to his site to check out the accompanying film for SS 11. It's well shot.

More people need to know about these ties, but then again, with the limited runs, maybe not.
