Two-Layer River Driver's Henley
When winter really gets going and temperatures drop through a shivering -30C straight to a don't-stay-outside-more-than-five-minutes-or-you'll-die -40C, you don't leave your flannel sheets without a good undershirt on. That doesn't mean a thin, white, sleeveless shirt; for winters when you want to look your best and not end up looking like the staypuft marshmallow man a good woolen, long sleeve undershirt is in order. The L.L. Bean shirt that I have does wonders keeping me warm and relieving me of the need for a parka that seems to be the suit of choice in the north.
