Winter Kit Nº6 – Stripes & Sun

This weekend has some sun in store which I'm pretty excited about. Lately we've had lots of rain and wind storms with up to 100Km/Hour winds, so you end up inside– a lot. I'm looking forward to getting outside and taking in some sun, amongst a few meetings.

This kit was inspired by two versions of stripes that go well together. Socks are always my wild card, as they add a certain lightheartedness to your daily wear. I very rarely wear plain coloured socks. The Submariner Crew is pretty perfect and allows you to layer it properly, should you wear a t-shirt and button down shirt underneath. The size of the stripes in the socks doesn't compete with the shirt so there's no need to over think it. The bottom half of this kit is simple and speaks to the fact that I've been on the hunt for a pair of corduroy trousers for a few months, but haven't had much success in finding a decent pair. Personally, I appreciate smaller wale cords but these heavy corduroy trousers from Margaret Howell would do the trick.
